April Programs
Kids Kayaking in the Pool • Tuesday–Thursday, April 9–11, 4:00 to 5:00pm. Learn basic kayaking and safe boating skills. Register at the Main Desk, March 19–April 6. There is only one session, consisting of 6 participants. Open to youth 12 and older. Free for members, $50 for non-members.
Open Pool for Kayakers • Tuesday–Thursday, April 9–11, 7:00 to 9:00pm. Open to youth 16+. Boats must be clean before they are brought into the Pool. You must RSVP to reserve a spot. For more information, and to RSVP, please call the Adventure Office at 547-2800, ext. 126.
Kid’s Triathlon Club • Sign up at the Aquatics Office starting April 1! Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:15 to 5:00pm, starting April 16. Learn the competitive aspects of swimming, biking, running, and the transitions between each. Open to boys and girls ages 7-18 (must be in school). Meeting and practice starts on April 16. ALL participants must get their bikes and helmets checked on Thursday, April 18th.
May Programs
Summer Swim Lessons • Registration for Summer Swim Lessons will begin on May 6 and end on May 31. Class space may be limited, especially in the beginning levels. The Summer lessons will run from June 24 to August 2.
CPR/AED Recertification (Lifeguards Only) • Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21, 5:30 to 8:30pm (must attend both nights). $50 members or $80 non-members. Sign up at the Main Desk by May 15.
Waterfront Lifeguard Training Recertification (Includes CPR/ AED & First Aid) • Monday–Thursday, May 20–23, 5:30–8:30pm (must attend each night). $85 for members or $115 for non-members. Sign up at the Main Desk by May 6.
June Programs
Kid’s Triathlon Club Race • Saturday, June 1, 10:00am. Race starts and ends at the Sports Center.
Health & Safety Rules
To support our dedication to providing a clean, safe environment for our members, please adhere to the following pool regulations:
- Swimmers in wet bathing suits are not allowed on the balcony or in the hallways!
- All swimmers must use the appropriate locker rooms to change.
- The pool deck, balcony, and hallways are not changing areas!
- All swimmers must shower thoroughly before swimming.
- Babies must wear swim diapers at all times.
- All swimmers must wear proper swimming attire. No shorts or T-shirts!
- Long hair must be tied back or in a swim cap.
- Shoes are not allowed on the pool deck
- Diving in the lap pool is prohibited.
- Running on the pool deck is strictly prohibited.
- No food or drink is allowed in the pool area or balcony.
- All swimmers must abide by additional pool regulations posted by the Aquatics Director as required by the State Department of Health.
- Children with bubbles, lifejackets and other floatation devices are not allowd in the diving pool unless a participating adult is with them.
Program Guidelines
During our programs and events, please adhere to the following pool guidelines as a courtesy to other members and guests:
- Spectators must use the balcony!
- Preschoolers must be accompanied by a participating adult.
- Adult swims are for swimmers 18 and over who have graduated high school.
- Open lap swimming times are for adults and children. Lanes will be shared during busy times. The diving board is not open during this time.
- Open swims are for all ages. Preschoolers must be accompanied by an adult. The deep pool alternates between open swim and diving every half hour. Open swims have two lanes available for lap swimming.
