3 Day Mountain Bike Trail Riding Clinic

Dates: Wednesday, August 1–Friday, August 3

On this clinic we will hit some of the best local trails offered within a day’s drive.  Each day we will load up and drive to sweet single track locations with technical descents, long climbs and find our flow through the woods. Mountain biking experience is necessary. This is a fast paced technical camp that requires full commitment! Equipment is recommended but not necessary. Mountain biking programs are led by a National Interscholastic Cycling Association Licensed Coach.

Adirondack Explorers

Dates: Monday, August 13–Friday, August 17

Join us Monday morning as we pack our bags and head out. We will spend each night under the stars, learn to cook in the backcountry and paddle to each campsite every evening. No previous technical experience needed for this trip, just willingness to learn and have fun. All backcountry equipment will be provided by the Clark Sports Center.

Climbing Club

Climbing Club is a comprehensive climbing program designed to create a fun atmosphere while developing young climbing athletes. Each day starts with warmups, mobility drills, climbing, and then finishing with climbing games and climbing drills. On at least 2 Sundays TBA we will climb outside at cliffs or other climbing gyms within a day’s drive. This program is for those truly interested in the art of climbing. Climbing Club and trips are led by a certified American Mountain Guides Association Instructor.

Enchanted Forest Water Safari

Date: Thursday, July 19

Join us for a fun filled day at Enchanted Forest Water Safari. Participants should bring a bag lunch, towel, sunscreen and change of clothes for the ride home. We will be stopping at Subway for dinner before we leave. Please have participants pack money for dinner.

Extreme Adventure

Dates: Monday, June 25–Friday, June 29

Join us for rock climbing in the beautiful Adirondack Park. Try mountain biking on our local trails and maybe pick up a few tricks for our skills park. Paddle around Otsego Lake and hike to beautiful new sights. Finish off the week with a 17 mile paddle down the Hudson River and spend the night under the stars.

GPS Geocaching Camp

Join the exciting high tech global treasure hunt known as geocaching. Campers will be using hand held GPS receivers to search for hidden caches all over Otsego County and the surrounding area. The camp activities will include learning to use a GPS device, seeking caches locally, creating and hiding our own geocaches, and sending a “travel bug”. Campers will also be hiking, swimming and taking field trips

Join Peg Wilson for a fun filled week of adventure and exploring. We will be visiting local landmarks, nature trails, waterfalls, farms, and enjoying many wonderful things summer has to offer.

Mountain Bike Club is the place where young riders can learn to play in the woods on and off their bikes with cycling in mind. With a focus on fun, our coaches use drills and trail rides to help riders develop as mountain bike athletes. Whether you want to race or just have more fun on rides, this club is for you. Bike and helmet are necessary but we may be able to lend equipment for the day. Mountain biking programs are led by a National Interscholastic Cycling Association Licensed Coach.

Science Camp is full of hands on experiments, model rockets, chromatography, games and field trips! We will travel around experimenting with science in different places and create new experiences. We will build rockets and watch them launch. Every day will be a new scientific adventure! Science Camp will be held at the biological field station.

White Water Kayaking Clinics

This Whitewater Kayaking Clinic is for those that want to learn the fundamentals of this fun and exciting sport. The clinic takes place on the Schoharie River in an ideal location to share concepts of edge control, paddle strokes, and maneuvers like peel outs, eddy turns, ferries and maybe even surfing. If you have ever been curious about river kayaking this is your chance. Weather and water level dependent. This is not a “river run” but the clinic does take place in a location with swift water. Equipment is available if needed. This clinic is led by an American Canoe Association Level 4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor. Parents are welcome to register as a student and join in on the fun!

Join us for a day at Zoom Flume Waterpark. Participants should bring a packed lunch, sunscreen, a towel and change of clothes for the ride home. Zoom Flume also has a food court if participants would like to purchase lunch.
