2007 Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The 2007 Induction Ceremony was held on Sunday, July 29, 2007 with the largest crowd in the history of the Hall of Fame: 82,000 fans. The inductees included Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken, Jr. Denny Matthews, radio voice of the Kansas City Royals, was presented with the 2007 Ford C. Frick Award; Rick Hummel, baseball writer and columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, was awarded with the 2007 J.G. Taylor Spink Award.
