American Red Cross Lifeguard Training with Waterfront Course


Monday, April 15 – Friday, April 19 • 8:30am–4:30pm with lunch break

Fee (includes $50 non-refundable deposit): $275 for members or $350 for non-members.
Please register online by Sunday, April 12.

Course includes American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer and American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Module

Participants must be at least 15 years of age (Proof of age required on First day). Participants must pass the prerequisite skills on the first day. Max: 10 participants.

These skills are the following:

  • Continuous 550 yard (22 lengths/ 11 laps) swim, with a combination of Front Crawl and Breaststroke.
  • Tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands.
  • Swim 25 yards, retrieve a brick from 8 ft. swim 25 yards on your back with the brick, and exit the pool with the brick in 1 minute and 40 seconds.
  • Swim 5 yards, submerge, and swim 15 yards underwater retrieving 3 rings placed 5 yards apart. Surface and swim the remaining 5 yards with the ring.

Participants must attend all classes. Participants must complete all skills competently, and pass the written exams with a score of 80% or higher.

American Red Cross Lifeguard & Waterfront Re-certification Course

Monday, April 15 • 8:00am–5:00pm with lunch break

Fee: $75 for members or $125 for non-members.
Please register online, March 21-April 14, 2019.
Maximum of 10 participants.

Prerequisites: Must possess valid American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Waterfront cards (must show proof of cards 4/15).

Certification includes: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with First Aid review. Must attend the whole course.

Please bring your CPR mask, a lunch, a swimsuit, at least 1 towel and clothes to wear over bathing suit (will be in and out of water).

Must competently complete all skills and pass the written tests (80% or better).
