Race Date
The race will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The race starts at 9:00am. The race ends at Saturday, August 22 at 5:00pm.
Join us for an unforgettable multisport adventure at Glimmerglass State Park, where natural beauty meets endurance challenge! Participants will complete three exciting segments—paddle, bike, and run—set against the scenic backdrop of Otsego Lake and the historic Hyde Hall grounds.
Paddle – 1.5 Miles

Type: Kayak or Canoe

Route: Begin at the beachfront, paddling through the protected waters of Glimmerglass Bay on picturesque Otsego Lake.

Transition: Finish at the beach and head to the nearby lakefront pavilion to begin the bike segment.
Bike – 18 Miles

Route: Ride north of the park along quiet secondary roads, ideal for a fast and scenic ride.

Staging: Bikes will be staged near the lakefront pavilion for a smooth transition from paddle to ride.
Run – 5K

Route: This year’s run is a shortened 5K course (previously 10K) that includes a crossing of the historic Hyde Hall foot bridge and winds through the wooded trails and open spaces of Glimmerglass State Park.

Finish: Wrap up your race with cheering spectators and lakefront views!
Race Cost
Race registration includes official timing from the Clark Sports Center events team, commemorative race sweatshirt, finisher medal, food and a free finish beer for those 21+.
SOLO with Kayak
Non-refundable entry fee is $75 per person if received on or before August 20.
SOLO with Canoe
Non-refundable entry fee is $75 per person if received on or before August 20.
3 Person Kayak Team
Non-refundable entry fee is $150 per team if received on or before August 20.
4 Person Canoe Team
Non-refundable entry fee is $175 per team if received on or before August 20.

Race Registration
Racers can register online, at the Clark Sports Center or download the entry form and mail it to The Clark Sports Center, Attn: Doug McCoy, P.O. Box 850, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
Participant packets can be picked up on Friday, August 21, from 3:00-6:00pm, or Saturday, August 22, 6:00-8:00am, at Glimmerglass State Park.
Race Waiver Form
All runners must have a Clark Sports Center waiver form on file. Children 18 and under must have this waiver signed by a parent. Waivers will be available on at the race or can be downloaded and printed from our site.
Race Awards
Race medals will be distributed to every finisher.
Event Schedule & Times
Friday, August 21
3:00–6:00pm • Bags may be picked up at Glimmerglass State Park.
Saturday, August 22
6:00–8:00am • Day of registration and bag pick-up at Glimmerglass State Park.
9:00am • Triathlon start
Race Finish • A post race lunch is included for all racers and other choices available for sale.
Course Maps
Aid Stations
Water stations will be positioned along the running route. GU Gels and sports drinks will be on the bike route but athletes are encouraged to bring what they use training.
Equipment Drop-Off / Staging
Bikes and kayaks/canoes can dropped off in staging areas Saturday morning only from 6:00-8:00am.
Bikes will be staged in Glimmerglass State Park
Participants are required to provide their own equipment for the race (bikes, kayaks/ canoes). We have a limited supply of rental kayaks available. Rentals available for selection through registration process. Bikes may be available for rent at local bike shops.
