This camp will be run by Cooperstown Central School 1st grade teacher Maegan Whiteman. This camp will be all about enhancing your child’s love of reading and creativity. This camp will be based at the Clark Sports Center but will utilize the grounds, as well as areas within walking distance that will help spark creative thoughts and ideas. If your child loves to read, create and use their mind, this is the camp for them. Sneakers are recommended.

Licensed Zumba instructor Edna Gonzalez-Dau who has more than 30 years of experience teaching a wide range of dance styles, will guide campers through four exciting styles of dance: ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and Zumba. Throughout the week, campers will also enjoy dance-themed crafts, games, stories, and outdoor activities.

In a fun and supportive environment, campers will build confidence, coordination, and creativity as they explore movement and express themselves through dance. The week will conclude with a special 30-minute recital for families to enjoy and celebrate what the campers have learned. Ballet slippers and jazz shoes are recommended but not required.

Themed Yoga Fun & More

Led by certified Yoga instructor Wendy Urtz-Chapman, this camp is designed to be a fun, enriching, and creativity boosting experience that includes yoga, mindfulness and relaxation, crafts, cooperative games and outdoor time (weather permitting). Children will enjoy a non-competitive environment where they will stretch, strengthen and explore both their bodies and minds, and create lasting memories, new friendships, and a foundation for overall well-being. Each day will feature a new theme such as Outerspace, Nature and Disney Characters for kids to enjoy.
